Running Blog Relay 2014 is a go

Runners blog relay 2014

Last Sunday I wrote a blog called Around the World Running Blog Relay 2014 and it raised some interest. I am quite excited with how many new-to-me bloggers and the running bloggers who I was already following were up for the idea. There are about 40 of us interested and so thank you to all you. I hope we can continue to get more on board.

I have been thinking about this post for most of the week but I haven’t had time to sit down to do some research and to the write it. The Improbable Runner suggested in a comment that we could all download the app Charity Miles and raise money while we run. I liked that idea but I wasn’t sure how that worked so I checked it out.

You can find out more information on the site but basically for every mile you run 25 cents is donated to the charity you select. There is a list already there but I am not sure if you can search for a different charity or not if you wanted to donate to another. The only downfall of this idea for me is that I don’t typically run with my phone and that is how you track your miles. So, I think if that is something you would like to do you could.

A few of you did mention where you were from when you commented on the original post but I would like to map where everyone is and show it in one of my posts to come. I am really loving how my blog can connect me with people all over the world.
